Boyer Facilitates Historic Fox Theatre Fire Pump Donation to City Museum
Boyer Fire Protection recently helped preserve a unique piece of St. Louis history by facilitating the transfer of a 100-year-old fire pump from the historic Fox Theatre to the City Museum.
When Boyer was brought in to replace the Fox Theatre’s existing fire pump system, the team recognized the historic value of the original equipment. As a result, Boyer proposed donating the pump rather than scrapping it. The Fox Theatre enthusiastically supported the idea.
With their approval, Boyer safely removed the pump and delivered it to the City Museum. It will soon be displayed as part of an upcoming exhibit featuring industrial and architectural artifacts. This display will allow visitors to learn more about the evolution of fire protection systems.
“Our work often connects us to remarkable pieces of St. Louis history,” said Chris Swope, Superintendent, of Boyer Fire Protection. “We’re proud to have played a role in preserving this one and ensuring it finds a permanent home where the public can appreciate it.”
This collaboration highlights Boyer Fire Protection’s commitment to community partnerships and preservation. It also reflects the company’s dedication to honoring the evolution of fire protection systems throughout the region.
