Inspections & Testing
Keeping your fire sprinkler system in the proper working order should be a top priority for all building owners and property managers and we understand the importance of protecting your property and the people in it.
Boyer Fire Protection performs fire sprinkler inspections, testing and maintenance for all types of fire sprinkler systems at facilities throughout the St. Louis / Illinois Metropolitan area.
Our Inspection Department will work with you to set up an inspection schedule that keeps you current on what inspections are due for your fire sprinkler system. Boyer Fire Protection follows the recommended guidelines of NFPA 25 Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems. We also understand that nursing homes, assisted living centers and hospitals may have Joint Commission requirements and our team will ensure these guidelines are properly followed.
We will contact you when your next inspection is due so you do not have to worry about missing an inspection. Our team is current on all state and local laws requiring the filing of Fire Sprinkler Inspection Reports and we will file all inspection reports with the proper authorities.
When inspecting your fire sprinkler system, our licensed backflow testers will also test your backflow device for the fire sprinkler system. All test reports for backflows also must be filed with the correct water district. Our team will also file these reports for you with the correct districts and pay all necessary filing fees.
All of our Inspectors are trained and licensed Sprinkler Fitters that have completed a 5-year apprenticeship program approved by the U.S. Department of Labor and Sprinkler Fitters Local 268. Our Sprinkler Fitters are required to maintain their licenses with continuing education to ensure they are up to date on the latest requirements and changes in our industry.
Our team of experienced Service Fitters will provide you with concise inspection reports. While performing your inspection they will barcode your system so that to ensure that all future inspectors will be able to locate and identify valves or drains that need to be inspected or tested.
Boyer Fire Protection’s reports will list all systems, valves, drain valves, inspectors test, hydrants, fire pumps, backflows, standpipes and will include pictures of deficiencies that need to be addressed.
