Women in Construction Week at Boyer
What is Women in Construction Week?
Women in Construction Week exists to recognize and support the growing number of women building careers in an industry that has historically been male dominated. Today, women make up roughly 11% of the construction workforce, and that number continues to grow as more women pursue careers in the trades, project management, design, and leadership roles across the industry.
This year’s Women in Construction Week theme, “Level Up. Build Strong.”, highlights the continued growth, resilience, and leadership of women across the construction industry. The theme encourages professionals at every stage of their careers to keep advancing their skills, strengthening their teams, and building a stronger future for the industry.
Celebrating Our Team
At Boyer Fire Protection, that message resonates with the work we see happening every day. From apprentices entering the trade to experienced professionals leading projects and supporting operations, women across our organization continue to level up their careers while helping build a stronger team and industry. One highlight of the week was celebrating one of our sprinkler fitter apprentices, who is currently one of only two women in her apprenticeship class, a reminder that the next generation of skilled trades professionals is continuing to grow and evolve. Throughout the week, we also took time to recognize the contributions of the women across our organization through a team lunch, a team-building activity, and a social media campaign highlighting each woman at Boyer and the perspectives they bring to the industry.
Looking Forward
Women in Construction Week is an opportunity to recognize the impact women have across the construction industry. At Boyer Fire Protection, we’re proud to work alongside women who continue to strengthen our team, our culture, and the future of the fire protection industry.
