Working with RPA Construction Services, covering about 21,500 sq. ft., we are installing a single pre-primed foam system per NFPA 30 standards inside of the new Trans Chemical building. There are 230 quick response sprinkler heads and a fire pump delivering 750 gpm at 50 psi. We also just transported and installed the 500-gallon Ansul tank for the foam system utilizing 3% x 3% non-fluorinated Class B firefighting foam—ideal for environments where flammable liquids are processed and stored. One of the most challenging parts of this project was getting the tank inside of the building.
